Here at Centaur we have been designing and manufacturing bespoke hospital bed head panels with lighting for many years. In a more recent project this has incorporated LED lighting strips fitted into the top and bottom compartments with individual dimming control.

Bed Head Panel With Lighting

Our standard Meridian PVCu dado trunking is designed with ample wiring space with hinged top and bottom lids. However, the range was not utilised in its traditional form for a recent project for a hospital in south east of England. Instead, 4W LED tape was installed in the top and bottom compartments, leading to a 1-10V dimmable driver. The driver will be incorporated into the main bed remote with each LED dimmer separately controlled. The Lighting panels will supply localised lights for each hospital bed throughout the night providing patients with an added comfort.

Cut to Length

The hospital bed head panels with lighting installed are to be supplied in 900mm lengths, cut to length and assembled at our Midlands based manufacturing facility. The Meridian trunking is designed with pre-pierced fixing holes in the base at 300mm centres to ensure the installation above hospital beds is as easy and efficient as possible.

Antimicrobial Bed Head Panel

To prevent the growth of unwanted bacteria, micro-organisms and fungi we can provide our trunking ranges and bespoke products with an antimicrobial additive. This additive is mixed at the compounding stage of our on-site manufacturing process and has been third party tested to inhibit the growth of bacteria on protected surfaces by 99.99%.

In this particular installation the bed head panel will be retro fitted to the main bed head unit. However, we can offer this type of panel pre-assembled and wired before despatch with a comprehensive range of wiring accessories, providing power, data and USB connections to each hospital bed.
